A Baby Joins My Family
A new baby is going to join my family. I am going to be a sister.

When a baby comes, some things may change. The baby may need a lot of care, so grown-ups may spend lots of time feeding, holding, and helping the baby.
Home may sound different too. Sometimes a baby cries, and sometimes there may be new things around, like baby clothes and a crib.
Some of my days may feel a little different. Grown-ups may sometimes be busy with the baby, and I may need to wait for a turn.
Many things will stay the same. I am still me, and I am still part of my family.
Grown-ups can still care about me, and I can still ask for help or a hug.
Being a sister is a special role. I can say hello to the baby in a gentle voice and learn how to be gentle with them.
I can also help in small ways when a grown-up says it is okay, like picking out a book to share.
I can share how I feel with a grown-up, whether I feel excited, curious, or something else. All of my feelings are okay.
I am Amber, and I am becoming a sister. I can learn about it a little at a time.
