Alex visits the busy, noisy mall
I am Alex, a 5-year-old boy with brown hair. Today, I am going to visit the mall. The mall is a big building with lots of stores and people. It can be very busy and noisy inside.
1
Dealing with Crowds
Sometimes, there are so many people in the mall that it can feel crowded. It's important to stay calm and not get overwhelmed. I can hold someone's hand, like my mom or dad, to feel safe. They will help me navigate through the crowd.
2
Managing Visual Stimulation
The mall can be very visually stimulating with bright lights, colorful signs, and lots of things to look at. If it becomes too overwhelming, I can take deep breaths and focus on one thing at a time. I can also close my eyes for a moment or look down at the ground to give my eyes a break.
3
Coping with Noise
The mall can be noisy with people talking, music playing, and announcements being made. If the noise becomes too loud, I can cover my ears with my hands or wear noise-canceling headphones. I can also find a quieter area in the mall to take a break if I need to.
